My name is Mirna Fisher and I started my career in HR over 25 years ago, with 23 years of experience in Talent Acquisition. I have extensive experience in Executive and High-Volume Recruiting. I love recruiting as it keeps me focused, organized and determined to meet the demands of the clients.
The best part of my job as a Recruiter is to deliver good news to the candidates (offer stage) as you are truly contributing in making a change in that candidate’s professional life and future. You also have the opportunity to coach candidates that may not be a good fit for your open roles and that’s always appreciated.
Building relations with your clients is also gratifying as they look up to you for assistance in making the right hiring decision which builds credibility and trust in your work. Keeping a consistent, solid pipeline of candidates is also a great way to build that credibility. I have a solid relationship with local colleges and community agencies as I was responsible for the staffing of various client service roles in the North East. After 21 years of recruiting in the financial sector I decided that it was time for me to make a professional change.
Becoming a P&A Franchisee was the best change as I love recruiting, but now I’ll be working for myself while enjoying work life balance. I continue to enjoy the ever- changing environment of recruiting and the adjustments and creativity that come with the challenge.
