Knoxville Newspaper Interviews Local P&A Franchisee
A national hospitality management recruiting firm that works primarily with restaurants has opened an office in Knoxville.
The franchise office of Dunkirk, Md.-based Patrice & Associates is among four in the state and 50 across the country that use a shared national database to fill management jobs.
Local owner and recruiter Del Wilson, 30, said the company works to help both the candidate looking for a restaurant position and client companies that need to fill jobs. His office will serve Knox and Blount counties.
“It’s a very transient business. There’s a lot of turnover. We’re there to help candidates find a new position,” Wilson said. “For client companies, our goal is to alleviate the stress of finding good top-quality candidates.”
While the company has national clients and about 600 hospitality management jobs to fill at any one time, Wilson said his goal is to build up the Knoxville market. In Knox County alone, there are more than 1,000 restaurants, he noted.
“It is a thriving scene. There have been dozens of new restaurants to open in just the last six months in all categories from quick service to fast casual to casual dining,” said Wilson, a Chattanooga native and graduate of the University of Tennessee.
Patrice & Associates services include resume assistance, interview coaching and access to open positions as well as unadvertised jobs.
